SPACEDOS01
SPACEDOS01 is an ionizing radiation energy spectrometer based on a semiconductor detector using a PIN diode. Its default configuration has a detection volume of 12.5 mm³. The detector is optimized for placement and long-term use on cubesat, meaning that its power consumption is minimized and it is constructed to withstand conditions in space. SPACEDOS01 exists in two variants: SPACEDOS01A (engineering model compatible with MLAB kit system) and SPACEDOS01B (with a shape adjusted for mounting in cubesat satellites). In 2019 the SPACEDOS01B was sent onboard the SOCRAT-R cubesat.
SPACEDOS02
The SPACEDOS02A semiconductor dosimeter is optimized for a long-term battery operation without external intervention. The dosimeter contains its own battery (primary cell) that is able to ensure its operation for up to quarter of a year. The data is logged on an SD card.
SPACEDOS02A was desiged to be used during manned spacecraft flights, for example onboard the ISS.
SPACEDOS03
The third version of spectrometer and ionising radiation dosimeter SPACEDOS03A is again based on a principle of measuring energy deposited in a silicon PIN diode. The detector is designed to perform experiments with shielding capabilities of materials aboard manned space missions. It is equipped with lithium based accumulators with capacity sufficient to cover a standard length of mission on the International Space Station. The device is designed to be able to analyze the shielding capabilities of inserted material samples against ionising radiation.
